Part Time Kitchen Helper/Dishwasher APPLY NOW

We are hiring for a part-time Kitchen Helper.

Anticipated schedule is Thursday-Saturday: 2:30-5:30pm and Sunday: 8am-1pm. Total of 20 hours a week.

Intermediate Spanish speaking REQUIRED.

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred- not required.

Purpose

This position reports to our Kitchen Chef and will support Café Marguerite’s staff and internal operations by assisting in back of house.

Responsibilities

●       Assisting in the proper storage of all ingredients for food safety

●       Assisting in sandwich and croissant production.

●       Hand-washing and drying dishes

●       Rotating stock in cold and dry storage.

●       Taking garbage and trash to dumpster area

●       Washing/cleaning work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls and floors

Qualified candidates will have experience with:

●       Being able to lift up to 50 pounds of inventory going up and down stairs.

●       Placing cooking equipment, utensils and plates on both low and high shelves

●       Best practice with food safety and sanitation, including proper labeling.

●       Working well with others as a team member

Work Conditions

A Kitchen Helper's responsibilities are performed in the back of the house. You may be exposed to temperatures of working kitchen with hot oven and steam from dish washing. Work includes standing, lifting, chopping, wrapping and carrying ingredients and finished products.
