Galette des Rois

From Epiphany to Mardi Gras is King Cake season.  Honoring the Three Kings (les rois) who visited the infant Jesus, bestowing gifts on the child, this festive, frangipane-filled pastry, is a traditional offering, baked throughout the month of January in France. Complete with a bean tucked inside the filling, you or your guests will be thrilled to cut in and discover who gets to be the King (or Queen!) for the day.
