History
Established in 1921 by German and Hungarian immigrants Joe and Emma Weber, the first iteration of the bakery was called "Weber's Quality Bakery."
In 1984, college roommates and bakers Paul Beauchamp and Joel "Murphy" Lemanski purchased Weber's and re-christened it "PJ Murphy's" -- using each of their first initials and a family name.
In 2017, West-African born pastry chef Francois Kiemde and his midwestern-rooted wife and business partner, Melissa Borgmann-Kiemde, purchased the business. After the store started selling more almond croissants than apple fritters, the couple renamed their bakery, giving it the moniker of their first-born daughter, Marguerite.
